Here ye here ye! My name is Zach and I am one of the Planeswalker’s Rest community leaders! We are looking for individuals to help us play test and be a part of a new campaign structure we are developing. We are looking for people who can be consistent at least once a month and be willing to give us honest feedback. We are welcome to new players and will happily teach you how to play DnD! What is Planeswalker’s Rest? Planeswalker’s Rest is a 100% free live service campaign designed intentionally with busy schedules in mind. We have multiple DMs writing as well as running sessions that together create an evolving and cohesive story that's driven by the players.
Missions:
Each session or “mission” is technically a one shot. We do occasional special events and expeditions” which are 2-4 sessions long. Although we run mostly on one shot missions, each one adds to a collective lore. We understand that one shots are naturally railroaded, we do our best to let players decide the outcome of missions. Our writers/DMs work on a monthly basis creating the lore based on events that happened during any sessions. This style of writing has created some very unique situations and spur of the moment storylines and side quests. One mission can and has changed the direction of the entire project. We enjoy working with players as long as it fits within the current progression. You don't need to play every single mission as well to understand what's going on.
Players: Each person or “Guild Member” has access to up to 2 characters. These are characters you will level up with and will become part of the collective lore. We have designed a scaling level up system that coincides with how many missions you attend. This allows for newer PCs to catch up to characters that have played for longer for a more balanced gameplay. The longer this project will go we will introduce a difficulty ranking system to each mission to help with level complexity. We have a monthly rotating shop that Guild Members can access through discord for their characters at any time. Lastly we have an RP chat that furthers character relationship and development can be accessed anytime.
