Ever played a tower defense game? Have no time to commit to an RP heavy game? Are you a filthy min-maxer? Always wanted to try higher level combat? Then look no further!
Hosting a series of games, each session will be about defending a city/town from waves of monsters. Just like with tower defense games, you get to position, rest, restock, and such after every session. In between waves may present a short rest while others may be a continuous siege. Game times are hopefully around 3 hours long starting around 8:30 PM EST/EDT. Going for Mon/Tue/Wed for the day. Will be weekly/fortnightly.
What to expect from every session.
Medium-Deadly combat. Monsters are in general stronger than your average goblin. These monsters aren't necessarily there to wipe out the party. They're there trying to take out what you're defending. If you pose a big enough obstacle then by all means they will hurt you.
Unique rule sets. In an attempt to make enemies stronger, some enemies will have superior stats and extra abilities.
A different city/town/objective to defend. Sometimes goblins just wanna raid a lonely merchant. Sometimes, world ending dragons spot a castle they'd like to keep. Interactable objects will be there such as raising a lever to open the castle gate.
An unbalanced DM. I mean I am giving these monsters a boost. Heck if I know if a goblin should deal 40 damage per round? In all seriousness I'll play it safe for the first couple of sessions and get whooped probably.
Skill Checks. Now you might think it's all about combat stats, but have you ever thought that maybe that innocent bear around the corner might help given a good enough animal handling check? You might also ascertain certain resistances/immunities/weaknesses depending on your background or religious beliefs.
Some RP. The RP can come from in between sessions, fun comments during combat, and other interactions. The idea here is to defend, not defeat the enemies. Be creative. The focus will definitely be combat-heavy encounters so if you expect a lot of RP and character development outside leveling and feat choices, then it might not be the game for you.
If you're interested send me a DM with your class choice and preferred day. My choice will be dependent on availability first, party composition later. New players are welcome. Looking to "balance" things for a party of 4.

Still have room for one more. Everyone else has voted for Monday game time so if you're available Monday send me a message!
