IDEALS
My traveling comes with the goal to learn from the heart of battle, and help those that are oppressed from the evils of the world that being man or monster.
BONDS
My master was like a father, and my fellow student a brother. I will never forget what they have done for me, and the teachings that were bestowed upon by my passed on master. My golden dragon medallion is the last thing I have left of my master. It reminds me of his positive teachings through the darkness of the world.
FLAWS
No matter the cost, I will do anything to win my conflicts. This sometimes brings out a darker side of me, which can lead to more violent tendencies.
Backstory: Far traveler
At a young age I was orphaned. For my father left early in my life. Early enough where I don’t remember him. My mother was trying to raise me on her own with nothing to her name. She decided that I shouldn’t suffer through her pain and troubles, so she took me to a secluded dojo out in the woods, miles away from any town or city. This dojo only held one person, my soon to be master Jujinko. My mother thought I would be better off with one who could care and protect me better than she could currently, so she convinced the master to look after me and take me on as his pupil. Ever since the age of five I have lived and trained under the guidance of Jujinko. He had instilled an important ideal to me early in my training. “There can be no light without darkness, but to much of one or the other you become blind to the rest.” Around the age of ten a woman and her son had appeared at the dojo. When I greeted her, she had asked for master Jujinko. She had asked him if her son Gerrik could train under him for he was a hot headed boy with a wild fire spirit that could use a little taming. Jujinko contemplated and by his face I could tell this was an important decision to him. He decided that he would take Gerrik in. At the beginning, Gerrik and I definitely didn’t get along. We butted heads constantly, and of course we would use what we learned on each other. This usually ended with one of us having to clean the whole dojo, or doing a water run all on our own. However this didn’t stop us from doing time and time again. Later on in our years we began to become more and more connected. Less fighting and more learning from one another. At this point he became more than a fellow student, and more than a friend. He was my brother. However with age I became more patient and understanding, and Gerrik was exactly what his mother wanted, I think. For he was still hot headed and impatient, but definitely incomparable now to how he was in his youth. Eventually we started doing more outgoing chores for Jujinko as we were getting and could handle societal situations with a more mature mind. This was nothing like a chore to me as I have always wanted to travel, explore the world and try new things. This was the closest I could come to it. One day, master Jujinko had asked us if we traveled along a caravan that had something important for he had to make sure it got to its destination. I accepted immediately as this would be a chance to travel outside the dojo the furthest I ever had. Surprisingly, Gerrik wanted to come along on this trip. The trip was long, as it was a fortnight long journey with very little to do. On our way back I had a dark feeling grow, like if I was hit with great grief, so did Gerrik. We rushed home only to find it silent and barren. We searched, and found out that further in the dojo was thrashed and battered. We opened the door to Jujinkos room only to find him dead with blood splattered on the walls. We had little time of grief for him as we could feel a dark presence over the dojo. Gerrik had stormed out determined to find his killer and take him down. I however. Sat and thought. Thought about everything Jujinko had taught me. Learn through experience, always show compassion for those who are need, and that the true answers lie in the heart of battle. Then I saw the golden dragon medallion that he had tied to his belt, and had taken it to remember him to buy. Now I travel the world looking for answers through experience and gain new strengths through battle, but the darkness of whomever caused my masters death forever looms over me.
5e/RP experience: a Year Character Info Name: Shava Trafalgar Race: Elf - (Drow) Class: Cleric - Death Domain Alignment: Lawful Neutral Personality traits: Nihilistic, sarcastic, goes with the flow, doesn't invest much into other people's hope.
Backstory: For a long time Shava was true to the Drow way of life, worshipping Lolth the Spider-Queen who sanctions murder. She dedicated her life so to a temple as an Acolyte but amongst the Drow that swore their vows with her was a Drow that worshipped a different god of Death. Rembrand, the Winter that consumes all. The true end. Death of death. Shava was given a glimpse of Rembrand and fell to her knees realizing the futility of all Drow had built. Even the Gods end, and worshipping one that promised us otherwise has made millenia of progress null and void. Shava dedicated himself to Rembrand and left her clan to spread the truth, believing that people everywhere need to learn the truth, that we're entitled to know the futility of things and that evil is simply another tool of manipulation. Her rage and evil turned to duty and empathy, one that she'll carry with him for years to come.
What you're looking for in a group: Honestly, just fun. I love roleplay, I love challenges and strategies and I'm very respectful to others. Discord name and ID number: Dylz#4486
Nothing can shake my optimistic attitude. I’ve spent so long in the temple that I have little practical experience dealing with people in the outside world.
IDEALS
Aspiration. I seek to prove myself worthy of my god’s favor by matching my actions against his or her teachings.
BONDS
I owe my life to the priest who took me in when my parents died.
FLAWS
My piety sometimes leads me to blindly trust those that profess faith in my god.
Backstory: I don’t want to expound on it too much here but but I was raised by a priestess and I had a very sheltered upbringing. Because of my innate desire for destruction the people of the temple I was raised in constantly had their hands full with me. Years later some orcish raiders razed our temple and stole an ancient relic of our temple. They burned our temple to the ground and fled. The head priestess who raised me told me to flee and so I did, not wanting to make a scene and being too scared to do anything else. It is now my mission to find mother figure and take back the holy symbol in the name of our god.
What I’m looking for in a group: I really want to try and actually roleplay. I haven’t been in a group that successfully does this yet and I’m really interested in trying it out. I’ve also never had a DM that has let the characters go through their own character arcs and play through their backstories with each other, which is something I really want to do.

5e/ RP experience: 2 years Character Info Name: Myoki Moorn Race: Ghostwise Halfling Class: Arcana Cleric Alignment: Chaotic Good Personality Traits: A passionate spitfire, with an unusual easy-going side when she feels at ease. Always quick to jump into action and obsessively curious about the arcane. Likely to multiclass into Lore Wizard due to her hunger for knowledge. A strong moral compass and a tendency to seek out pack-bonds are two of her defining features.
Backstory:
She may be pint-sized, but don't let that fool you. Myoki is hot-tempered and passionate. This may be her defining feature as well as her downfall. She may flash into anger if her values or pride are threatened, but she is not unforgiving. Her humor and wit ensure that she can see past most mistakes and transgressions against her, given that they are not too grievous. She has never had a reason to hate anyone, and has never had to hold a grudge for long- except against a certain necromancer. Past her flashfire personality, she is easy-going, and has a strong desire to protect those she cares about. Although initially wary of most people she does not know, she is quick to judge their character and act accordingly, slipping into either easy comradarie or open hostility. All of this is rooted in her desire to keep those she cares about safe, tendancies she carried over from her tribe. It is possible, however, for those initial attitudes towards people to change given they show they are not a threat to her or her values. However, at all times, her personality, perception towards individuals, and general actions are above all-passionate. When she has an opinion in a matter, that opinion is always spoken. Her easy-going, more amiable side shines through only when she is comfortable with ehr surroundings. She displays strong pack-bonding tendencies. Her tribal past, always rooted in the deep-seated notion of group ties, ensures that she seeks out people she can trust.
Myoki does however suffer from the apparent failure to reach her life-long ambition. From a young age she loved helping others, but also she adored learning. She was constantly practicing magic, working the motions for spells into muscle memory, and reciting incantations. The more spells she could learn, the more prepared she became to face down obstacles in her path to uphold her ideals. These two qualities made her an excellent choice for the shaman's apprentice, a role she took with zeal. When she could not connect with a diety it crushed her confidence and destabilized her view of her place in the world. She left the comforts of her tribe to seek answers she has yet to find. Every clue is another puzzle.
During her time on her own, Myoki's passionate nature got her into trouble. For a short time, she befriended a cleric, a man who called himself Nefit, who took the lost ex-shaman apprentice under his wing, teaching spells she had never dreamed of, including a little spell that hastened 'evil-doers' as Nefit called them to their death- Toll of the Dead. But Myoki began to notice that many of the bodies of patients they were unable to save from death would disappear soon after Myoki and Nefit had given up treating them. Though Nefit assured her that the bodies were being taken away for burial, Myoki found out from the undertakers nearby that they hadn't received any of the bodies. In fact, their own graveyards seemed to be missing some denizens as well. One clue led to another, and Myoki soon discovered that Nefit was, in actuality, a necromancer. In a flash of outrage and disgust, Myoki attacked her mentor, only to be laughed at as Nefit unleashed the full abilities of his power upon her, showing her just how weak she was in comparison. He turned her into a pig, snickering that she could live out the rest of her life in filth, knowing that death at a chopping block waited for her any day. Worse than ending her, he put her on the equivalent of death row at a nearby farm, unable to speak to anyone who might help her.
For months, perhaps even years, she wasted away in her animal form, her magic just beyond her reach, the butcher's knife haunting her dreams. She lost track of time, she even began to lose hope of ever being halfling again, but she never gave up trying to practice her arcane arts.
Then one day some complete idiots ransacked her farm and stole her. She accepted her fate, knowing that death had come for her at last, the torment of her existence would end and she would soon be cooking over the fire spit. But the heat of the flames did not come. Instead, one of the ransackers was a druid who was able to speak with her and realize that she was not truly a pig! The group took her to a nearby church and had her restored to her true form. For several months, she accompanied them. Delighted to have a new pack, she fought alongside them. But all suns must set, and this one set all too soon, bathing the sky in red as it dipped beyond the horizon. Her party was slaughtered in front of her, and she alone survived. Now, again she must wander. To find meaning. To find why she has these healing powers but no diety will answer her prayers, will come forward or show themselves that they have claimed her. To avenge her fallen comrades and to seek revenge on her own behalf against the necromancer she once so deeply trusted.
(You said more was better! I hope this provides enough plot hooks for you! I'd be happy to work with you to better fit it into your campaign!)
What you're looking for in a group: I'd love a small group that meets at least semi-regularly that I can get to know and share some laughs with. I'd also love a campaign I can really sink my teeth into for more than a short period.
5e/RP experience: Over a year Character Info Name: Santiago Escudero Race: Human Variant Class: Ranger Alignment: Neutral Personality traits: When I want something, I'm direct and simple in my request.
If I don't want to do something, I simply don't do it.
Ideals: Mercy. I was given a second chance and others should get the same opportunity. (Good)
Bonds: Any mention of my hometown reminds me of my first life.
Flaws: Death isn't a big deal to me. I've died and come back. People should stop whining
Backstory: Santiago has gone through many names, many faces, many lifetimes. He was chosen by Majere, god of meditation and order, to be her champion and maintain balance in the material plane, to be reincarnated over and over. The adjustment was difficult the first couple of lives as he is never born with his memories intact, rather he awakens them as he comes of age, each life blending with the next. In this era he's been reincarnated again and he's been working for Majere again for the past decade or so. He travels the land as an adventurer, all the while keeping an out for disorder, chaos and the like and completing any missions from his god.
What you're looking for in a group: Just looking for a fun casual game. I'm up for anything as long as there's a balance of everything (RP, combat, puzzles, exploration, etc.) Discord name and ID number: tortugadelmar#0945
5e/RP experience: I have been playing D&D for about two months through a 5e campaign of a 3e module. It's pretty enjoyable. I've been playing role playing games like WoW for 15+ years.
Character Information: Name: Mortimer Randolf. Race: Human Class: Warlock (multi-classing is new to me, so I will pick something based on what the group needs and not necessarily what min/maxers would do) Alignment: Chaotic Neutral or True Neutral Personality Traits: Arrogant, Inquisitive, Skeptical, Intelligent, Proud, shows compassion when needed, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Slightly paranoid, detests unnecessary violence, has a soft spot for the sick or ailing elderly. Hates to fail.
Backstory: (I'm going to take a bit of a background queue from a backstory that I remember from watching an episode of The Animated Spellbook. Then I'm going to leave some liberties blank as to allow you, the Dm, to fill in with appropriate towns, conflicts, and patron(s) of your home brew. Also, I think it would be quite interesting to be given a patron and not choose one. That would make for interesting conflicts and events that could happen with the group.) Mortimer grew up poor in the city of (Insert a small to medium home brew city). He made by with scraps and hand me downs from his relatives while studying to become a physician. During his younger years Mortimer was enthralled with the prospect of helping and healing people. Through years of study and dedication he finally achieved his goal and when time came for him to put the fruits of his labor to the test, he couldn't help in saving his parents, who in their old age became sickly and diseased. Mortimer's woes only increased when a (battle or war started among _____ ) and Mortimer's clinic was the main outlet for all the wounded. Day and Night Mortimer worked on the injured, dying, and sick. His years of practice bearing fruit, unlike his attempts to save his parents. He was able to help all but one (you can choose the race, could be related to the war) patient. This patient had lesions and sores that would burst and heal sporadically. All conventional truths and practices of medicine would not apply. This, however, is not what unsettled Mortimer. It was the sounds the patient made. They were guttural... almost feral, yet it sounded like speech. The patient would not speak during the day, only during the dead of the night, and when caught in conversation it would not stop... rather there was a chill almost as if a presence had shifted it's gaze to the watcher of this conversation. Mortimer was fascinated and horrified, this was something he did not know, but wanted to seek the truth of what or who this thing was. One day though, Mortimer walked into this patient's room and the patient was gone. All that was left was dark oozing liquid upon the bed sheet with torn off bandages and dressings for the continuously bursting wounds. Mortimer was concerned, but paid no heed. There will still others to take care of. Then the dreams started to happen, a pitch black room, a deep unintelligible voice, and the sensation of burning in his own lungs. Mortimer was not the only one to experience this dream. Everyone who had witnessed the patient converse during the night was having these same dreams, however, as the days turned to weeks all of the doctors and nurses that had witnessed those conversations had died. Only Mortimer was left alive and the dreams then stopped. Mortimer sold his home took as much coin as he could carry and left (chosen town) to seek out to try and find who or what had caused this.
What you are looking for in a group: A group that is understanding and willingly to help a newer 5e player who has an interest in D&D mechanics and world building... but are also ok with a person not being an apt role player (vocally that is) that can join in the adventure and comradery of D&D. (A slight clarification in what I mean by this. I will be able to role play the decisions, thoughts, and actions of Mortimer superbly. However, there most likely won't be an accompanying voice to go along with the character... it will most likely just be my own voice.)
5e/RP experience:2+ years of D&D including some DM'ing, try my best to do voices
Character InfoI have multiple ideas but here's one for now. (since no one listed wizard)
Name:Alexander Solaris
Race:Human Variant
Class:Cleric/Wizard (starts as cleric but learns he is much happier doing illusion magic)
Alignment:Neutral Good
Personality traits:Patient, impartial, willing to think things through, sometimes too long, before making a plan of action. Excited at the prospect of adding knowledge to the library he grew up in. Very friendly and curious.
Backstory:(haven't heard of this module, if it's Faerun we can use Candlekeep as his origin) Grew up in Candlekeep with no information about his parents, happily spent his days reading through the books of the library often alone just dreaming up imaginary friends to talk to. Eventually started to learn some magic to make this imaginary friends a bit more real though some illusion. Rarely left Candlekeep except to occasionally accompany a monk on a trip to collect some more books.
What you're looking for in a group:Just fun group to work together to play the game, bonus if the group tries to synergize and play off each other.
5e/RP experience: 8 years a player, w/ 6 years (on and off) as a DM; I also play and have experience with numerous other systems and RP games Character Info Fenrir Name: Garrus (I like to make a character based of the party comp. thus, while this is my application character, I may ask the DM to change it to something that I think could benefit/better RP off the existing party) Race: Half-Drow Class: Warlock (hex) Alignment: True Neutral (values the people he knows, not ideals/morals) Personality traits: A honest man of action, he is accustomed to conflict, and is often uncomfortable in peace. He seeks out situations, where he can better himself, or be in danger, because he knows little else of life. He values his friends and allies, and would destroy any who would bring harm to them.
Backstory: Garrus' life, is one of strife. Born the son of a male drow slaver, and a female dragonborn, he was never going to be normal. His father's world was cruel, dark and harsh. The trials and punishments at his young age, for any reason conjured, matured him quickly. When adventurers came and helped him and his mother escape, returning to her hometown, he found that strife followed. Even there, where people shared his scales, he still looked like a monster to them. To elven to be dragon, to dragon to be elven. Still, he kept pushing though the strife and pain, believing he was loved by his mother...then his mother died, and he felt truly lost...he then met his first friend. A strange white spear, seemingly made from the large tooth of some beast, it spoke to him in his sleep. It understood his pain. It felt his weakness. It shared his loss. They grew closer still, and so Garrus took his friend's name unto himself, bonding them further yet. Name: Shava Trafalgar
Race: Elf - (Drow)
Class: Cleric - Death Domain
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Personality traits: Nihilistic, sarcastic, goes with the flow, doesn't invest much into other people's hope.

Character Info
Name: Myoki Moorn
Race: Ghostwise Halfling
Class: Arcana Cleric
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality Traits: A passionate spitfire, with an unusual easy-going side when she feels at ease.

Race: Human Variant
Class: Ranger
Alignment: Neutral
Personality traits: When I want something, I'm direct and simple in my request.
If I don't want to do something, I simply don't do it.

Character Information:
Name: Mortimer Randolf.
Race: Human
Class: Warlock (multi-classing is new to me, so I will pick something based on what the group needs and not necessarily what min/maxers would do)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral or True Neutral
Personality Traits: Arrogant, Inquisitive, Skeptical, Intelligent, Proud, shows compassion when needed, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty.
That would make for interesting conflicts and events that could happen with the group.)
Mortimer grew up poor in the city of (Insert a small to medium home brew city).

Character Info Fenrir
Name: Garrus (I like to make a character based of the party comp. thus, while this is my application character, I may ask the DM to change it to something that I think could benefit/better RP off the existing party)
Race: Half-Drow
Class: Warlock (hex)
Alignment: True Neutral (values the people he knows, not ideals/morals)
Personality traits: A honest man of action, he is accustomed to conflict, and is often uncomfortable in peace.
