Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New Location/Timezone: Arkansas / Central Availability: flexible availability, once or twice per week Preferred role: player Game style: not overly casual, I'd love to experience a bit more role play, in a current campaign IRL but a few people don't take the game seriously at all so all the rules have become incredibly loose and there's very little RP and a ton of people basically breaking mechanics and rules with too much home brew content. For some context we started from level 1 almost 3 weeks ago and we're already level 11 and our DM has changed twice already.
Hey, we are doing a medium length homebrew setting campaign, but have lost most of the players. The remaining player and myself (DM) have both been playing and DMing for a few years now. The campaign is at a good point for new players to enter, and starting at level 4 you can see some of the more interesting mechanics. Another thing to note is that this campaign, for its one major rule change, has no character death, so the pressure is lessened on the character (not so much for the world consequences though).
The remaining player and I (DM) do follow RAW. As the only homebrew example for this campaign, the only thing added is a +0 "Axe" with the stats and properties of a rapier that can do a different type of damage (slashing, not piercing). If you are interested please respond here and I can message you a handout for the campaign, it's backstory and player notes. We play evenings CST. Thanks.
