It's been really good for my archer rogue. Depending on the fight/map sometimes i can spend the first turn getting into a good position and then from there on just aim for advantage to ensure sneak attack.

Yeah, l have a Vuman Fighter/rogue sniper, and this would work great. (It can also work Spectacularly with a Drow Swashbuckler.)
I was a little surprised this was the ONLY optional rogue feature, but it's definitely a good one. And the cost of both bonus action and movement keeps it from just always being the best thing to do every turn regardless of context.

Agreed. Battle Masters got subclass-specific love, so why didn't Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster finally get access to arcane foci?
saves me from having to try to hide each round, thematically my PC would just stand there focused instead of popping up and down, and I don’t have to debate the dm about finding new places to hide for the enemy to realistically afford advantage from the repetition of the tactic.
I thought I would need to reposition more to avoid hitting allies but they are never granting cover for enemies, if I do move often I can get sneak attack by allies being within 5ft. Go far been a fun and flavour yo get advantage.

I'm surprised we didn't at least get a copy of the 'change an expertise option at asi level' like bards got.

I’m enjoying it so far on my rogue scout
