How would a human variant 3 oath of the sea paladin 3 echo knight fighter work out. The echo is immune to all conditions so he’s not blinded by the fog so he can wade threw the fog with ease. Take fighting style-blind fighting to see into the fog with your target still blind, take pole arm expert and with that all together your completely overwhelming any in the fog. Does this mechanically work, is the echo really not effected by blindness, regardless of blind fighting I assume he has?
I'd assume that it at least works somewhat. The one thing to consider though is that while attacks does originate from the echo they are still your attacks so I'd assume that most DM's would work on whatever sight you have.
I took a deeper look at echo knight and oath of the sea.
The echo is not a creature and does not have senses nor makes attacks. You can make your attacks originate from the echo's space. Since it is your attack, you use your senses from your space to make it.
CD Marine layer makes fog that is lightly obscured to you. Lightly obscured does not impose disadvantage on attacks, so you (and therefore your echo) can attack normally.
Oh I didn’t read the oath right I was thinking the character and any one in 5ft of him saw his adjacent area as light obscured, so the whole fog is light obscured for him and others cool that means I don’t need blind fight and pole arm master to make this work to keep adv for my echo but do need a reach weapon for the character to have adv. to use this as a bad guy fighting players would spook them, good hunted mystery vibes. I can here him saying “welcome to my world” or something like that as he obscured the area with his oath.
