I am making a character using Point Buy, and I'm deciding where to allocate my ASIs from my race. RAW states that those ASIs can be a +2 to one stat and a +1 to a different stat, or a +1 to three different stats. However, the builder allows me to apply either of those methods of stat increases into one stat. In this case, I am making a Paladin, and the builder allows me to add the +2 and +1 to Charisma alone, or all three +1 increases to Charisma alone. Are the rules for those stat increases incorrect, or is this an issue in the builder that needs to be fixed?

The character builder doesn't have the extra protection (or check) to prevent you choosing the same ability twice.
The rules say they have to be different abilities.
Yep, it’s a limitation of the builder.
