I'm bothered by the inaccuracy of the, Lift, Push and Drag calculator. Considering that I capable of physically carrying 240 lbs. And can lift, drag and push at least 1000 lbs, probably more when I push and drag, by myself and I am not an athlete or a weight lifter. A 580 lbs lift, drag and push limit just isn't realistic. The calculator really should be stat x 60. Not stat x 30. I get this is a game but come on. These characters aren't couch potatoes. They work for a living. All adventurers are survivors. Wizards included. The Strength tables for 3.5 dnd were way more accurate.
The deadlift world record only exceeded 1000lbs in 2006 and the current deadlift world record is 1074lbs. There is no way you can lift, drag and pull “at least 1000lbs, probably more…” unless you are among a small handful of top weightlifters in the world. Even if it were intended that this game is a simulator that accurately reflects our ability to perform feats of strength in real life—it’s not—you have an extremely inflated impression of your ability to perform them so your scale is way skewed.
I'm just going to take your word for it. Otherwise, I'm going to spend my evening trying to figure out what a Newton is and how much weight that could pull and frankly I don't care that much.
Also, it always seems a little ridiculous to me when people get into debates about realism in a game where characters can damage creatures made of air with swords and creatures the size of two story, 400 square foot buildings can fly. There are always going to be elements of the game that don't make sense when you think about them too hard.
Edit: 800 square foot. I guess there's the second floor. 😅

How often does lifting, pulling, or pushing to such extreme weights actually come up in the average game?
I could push a 2000 pound car on a level surface but I could never push the same car if it had its breaks on.
How large of a cement block could you lift pull or push?
