The Carrion crawlers tentacle ability calls for a Dex save to avoid becoming poisoned- if you fail you receive a save at the end of your turns to resist, but whilst poisoned it states you are paralysed, paralysis states you automatically fail Dex saving throws. so you cant make the save each round stated for the ability.
why not simply have the dc check to avoid paralysis and be done with it. or is the fact you may be immune to poison therefor avoid the paralysis a thing?

Probably the result of trying to simplify the stats and make the wording more concise.
It's already come up in other threads. My personal vote to change it would be to keep the initial save to avoid tentacles as a Dex save. But then make the subsequent saves to throw off the poison into a Con save.
