If the warded creature makes an Attack or casts a spellthat affects an enemy creature, this spell ends.
Going from the wording, I have 2 questions
I'm under the effect of Sanctuary. I take the attack action, but via pact of the chain I forgo my attack so that my Familiar makes an attack using its reaction. Would Sanctuary end even though I never made an attack?
Find Familiar states that I can deliver a Touch Range spell through the familiar, and it counts as if the familiar had cast the spell. So if I use a familiar to cast Shocking Grasp, would Sanctuary end?
I would say the first one would not end sanctuary. You are not attacking, your familiar (a distinct creature is)
for the second one, the text of find familiar clearly says you cast the spell delivered by the familiar, so regardless of it being “as if it cast the spell”, it would end Sanctuary:
“..Finally, when you cast a spell with a range of touch, your familiar can deliver the spell as if it had cast the spell. Your familiar must be within 100 feet of you, and it must use its reaction to deliver the spell when you cast it...”
I would guess that the “as if it had cast the spell” is included so that any Ability checks on the part of the caster are made via the familiars stats, or any secondary effects that target the caster would target the familiar
First Example: You're taking the attack action. You're just using your familiar to deliver it via Pact of the Chain. Sanctuary would break.
Second Example: You're casting a spell. If it attacks an enemy, Sanctuary breaks. Using your Familiar to deliver a Touch-range spell just changes the spell's origin point, it doesn't mean you didn't cast it. Sanctuary would break.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
I would say it's DM grey area adjudication for the first one. Don't you still have to take the Attack action to trigger your Familiar's reaction?
As for the second, that would definitely end Sanctuary. You are still casting the spell, your Familiar is simply delivering the spell that you have cast.

Making an attack and taking the attack action are actually different things mechanically...the spell mentions “makes an attack” while the pact says you take the attack action but forgo one of your attacks. If you forgo the actual attack, then you haven’t attacked, and sanctuary wouldn’t end, unless you also make an attack (via extra attack or offhand/two-weapon options)

Alright, so all of the replies shut down spell casting, cool. But for the first one, it's not delivering a attack through the familiar. Sanctuary's states that it breaks "If you make an attack." It say's nothing about the attack action. When I take the attack action, I can forgo one of my attacks (and I only have 1) so that the familiar can attack instead. I never make an attack, only the Familiar, so it shouldn't break.
