Is there anything stopping a 9th Level artificer, using their Armor Modifcations Feature, from applying the Enhanced Defense infusion to their now 4 separate pieces of armor. This would give plate mail (18 AC) a +8 Bonus for 26 AC (at level 10). To my understanding the armor counts as one item for every other purpose other than applying artificer infusions. There seem to be no rules saying that artificer infusions do not stack with themselves, just that each item can only bear one infusion (until the lvl 9 feature breaks this rule). For infusing the gauntlets, even though the gauntlets are considered a simple weapon, are they not also considered gauntlets? The gauntlets are still part of the armor. The only rules I can find on this is that the same spells don't stack (we are not casting spells) and that two magic items of the same kind don't stack (the armor counts as one magic item). There are no rules concerning if two artificer infusions stack on your armorer armor once the level 9 feature kicks in. Can anyone find anything from the developers on this?

The fact that each infusion can only be used once at a time?
That would probably stop it alright.
Yeah, there is a lot to pick through about infusions.
Glad I could help.
