A region the size of Paris extends upwards from the unknown, curving slightly as its enormous length reaches to the heavens. Across its surface are dry riverbeds, empty fields, and expansive craters from where the giants feasted upon the land. The ground itself seems to be made of several layers of house-sized boxes, their exteriors made of a glassy substance and their interiors filled with a viscous fluid and several strange organic devices. The air feels like walking through honey, and strange creatures and particles drift about all around.
This expansive region is a single blade of grass, from the perspective of a creature the size of a single E. coli bacterium. In my mind, an alien-seeming world such as this might be a great setting for a campaign: A world full of bizarre terrain, odd creatures, and insectoid titans whose legs extend from horizon to horizon. As a sort of thought experiment, what if we were to collaborate and create a tiny world such as this? What races, terrains, and civilizations could exist in this world that seems unassuming from the perspective of us, who are the size of celestial bodies in comparison? I'd love to hear what you all think, and feel free to share any ideas, no matter how small, that you think of!

That could work. I was initially thinking Plasmoids as well, since they seem like they'd fit the whole microscopic vibe.
Oooh, plasmoids would be cool. Also, maybe anything with a flying speed would be interesting to play as, once they fly high enough and see the world around them. Don't know what race to do for that, though.

What would societies be like at this scale? One thing I'm wondering about is whether or not people could build anything at this scale, since most of the materials readily available are organic.

I was thinking of insects, such as aphids and ants, as being these impossibly large titans who are feared and even worshipped across the Microverse. A single Aphid would leave craters where it gorged itself and could cause earthquakes with its footfalls.

What about time dilation or contraction? I don't remember how it works IRL, but time and space are intermixed, and something would change in time.
I'm thinking for purposes of making it viable with entertainment value, I'd make the "big" world's time slow waaaay down. Insects would move a lot slower (with more strength of course). The day-night cycle would extend greatly. A brief breeze would be like -winds that last for hours. Stuff like that.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.

That sounds like an amazing idea! Perhaps the calendar is divided into two halves: the Brightseason and the Nightseason, which are just day and night for us giants. Each 'season' lasts about a year, and is broken up into three four-month periods: for example, Eastsun, Highsun, and Westsun for Brightseason.
