10th Level Sorcerer and currently knows Wall of Fire. Debating if the character should keep this spell or eventually switch to Wall of Stone.
Appreciate any thoughts and advice on these spells. I am leaning toward stone because it sounds like it has more versatility and thus a better option. But I may be making a false assumption based on the fact it is a higher spell slot. However, the damage of WoF is really nice and it still is an effective barrier on the battlefield.
*My apologizes for typing the incorrect spell in the thread's title. It should be "Wall of Fire or Wall of Stone"*
Wall of Force is generally better in combat and is more flexible outside of combat. However Wall of Stone synergizes with other spells & spellcasters much better.

I'd choose the wall of stone unless you have another spell that you will use that higher spell slot for. then i'd just leave it.
Wall of stone can have some very useful out of combat applications. Especially if you pair it with stone shape.

Wall of Force's only limitation is the short duration.
Wall of Force is in all ways worse than Wall of Force except you can make it permanent if you concentrate long enough.
Combat = wall of force.
Building a tower over which you will reign forever (or any other non-combat use) = Wall of Stone
