any advice on roleplaying Eladrin, specifically the winter season, would be gratefully appreciated. For context, my winter trait is life is full of dangers but you are ready for them and my flaw is I speak only to point out the flaws in others’ plans. Edit: Any advice would welcome; don't have to be an expert.
The easiest tip would be to think of winter itself. What feelings does winter evoke in you personally?
I would personally try to roleplay a Winter Eladrin as someone who is distant and cold, almost to an analytical degree.
I should add that to fully give the Eladrin the roleplaying shine it deserves, you should switch seasons from time to time, so as to switch personality, eg. Happier as spring, angrier as summer, and content and caring as fall.
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it so much! It is good to know I’m validated in not just playing the dolor and sorrow if winter. I don’t if changing her season will com up since she’s an assassin and neutral evil, but if the opportunity presents itself and it makes I will explore that option in full force. How often would you point out the flaws in people’s plans? I cautious about becoming annoying as a player.
I'm not entirely sure about Eladrin specifically, but I'll bring to the table how as I DM I like to portray my Winter Court Sidhe and put it in the context of a Winter Eladrin.
Winter is about more than being sombre, Winter is about survival. These Sidhe are merciless, but opportunistic, taking what they can but staying away from anything that might resemble a fair fight. But when cornered they'll fight like rabid dogs, because Winter should inherently be harsher, more animalistic and predetory than the 'easy' seasons. But a Winter Court Eladrin would also be very thankful for the 'little things', a warm place to stay the night, food in the belly, someone to share a bed with, in Winter the 'little things' are all you get.
So to put it down to a point, my Winter Eladrin would be pragmatic, pointing out plans that are overly complicated/take unnecessary resources, however as a flaw the Eladrin would primarily plan in the short term. Winter is a harsh month, where the beast needs to do everything it can to survive until the next spring, short term gratification should be important when looking for comfort, with the only long term planning being the glacial process to get revenge on those who've wronged you.
I'd liken a Winter Fey to a wolf, predatory, a capable stalker, but can get lost in the thrill of the hunt. While a Summer Fey is the stag, regal and graceful, primarily a protector, but will fight when it's temper is up and isn't good at controlling their anger.
@wellace great answer, particularly your wolf and stag/protector analogy. Winter is also about being prepared, if you don’t prepare you die in harsh winter climates, so I’d put that in too.
I also like the distant and cold idea from @BadDevilGrind though I’d only use it with evil type alignments.

Oooooo I love all of this! Both of you have my mind racing!
