Thirsting Blade (extra attack): 1d6+5 (pact/hex shortbow), +1d6 (hex) 12 avg for a total of 24 average damage.
Future levels: Planning on continuing with sorcerer for the sorcery points to recoup my pact slot for another use or two of eldirtch smite. Also planning to grab Haste for extra AC and a slight damage increase (3rd attack offer slightly more damage output vs Hex). Also considering dropping a spell for Bestow Curse for better damage on big bads.
I'm curious to see how useful the spells I selected will be in an actual play situation.
Some issues: your combat set up uses up both pact slots in one round. Also, planning for several rounds like that is not the most helpful thing, because fights often end in 3 rounds.
Big issue though: after eldritch smite, things go prone. This will put any attack rolls made with your bow at disadvantage.
Other big issue: you're better off replacing friends cantrips with EB, and your DPR will exceed that of your pact bow. Heck, you could even replace improved pact weapon with agonizing blast for more streamlining. Even when you account for the fact that your pact bow is +1 in accuracy, you still do more DPR with eldritch blast+agonizing blast.
I can cast hex with a sorcerer spell slot leaving my pact slots for eldritch smite. Also, eldritch smite states you can knock the target prone, but you're not forced to. And by my calculations, eldritch blast with agonizing ast and hex is only 1 average damage more than my current build. Plus I've already played a blastlock and I'm lookin for something a little different.
As far as planning out my combat, that's just my way of getting a genaral idea of what the damage would look like. Doesn't take into account spells or other actions hat may take presedence over bow attacks.
