In the Class Features of an Order of the Scribes Wizard it allows them to “Using specially prepared inks and ancient incantations passed down by your wizardly order, [awaken] an arcane sentience within your spellbook.”
Later on it also states that “If necessary, you can replace the book over the course of a short rest by using your Wizardly Quill to write arcane sigils in a blank book or a magic spellbook to which you’re attuned.”
This implies that Magic Items that function as a spellbook can be awakened by such a wizard. This got me thinking, does the nature of the spellbook effect the Awakened Mind? I made a list of all the magic books I could locate, (there might be some omissions due to unowned content). Some of these may not necesarily be used as a spellbook and others are not an actual book but function as a spellbook nonetheless.
Book of Shadows (Pact of the Tome feature of Warlocks, additional effects can be attained via Invocations revolving around the Pact of the Tome)
Ritual Book (Ritual Caster feat)
Book of Exalted Deeds (Good Book, may not function as a spellbook)
Book of Vile Darkness (Evil Book, may not function as a spellbook)
Demonomicon of Iggwilv (Demon Book, may not function as a spellbook)
Grimoire Infinitus (Infinity book)
Tome of the Stilled Tongue (Vecna Book)
Crytalline Cronicle (Not a book, Crystal Information Storage, Functions as a Spellbook)

Manual of Quickness of Action (+2 Dex Book, may not function as a spellbook)
Tome of Clear Thought (+2 Int Book, may not function as a spellbook)
Tome of Leadership and Influence (+2 Cha Book, may not function as a spellbook)
Tome of Understanding (+2 Wis Book, may not function as a spellbook)
Astromancy Archive (Not a book, armillary sphere of astronomy magic, Functions as a spellbook)
Atlas of Endless Horizons (Conjuration Book #1, Teleportation)
Duplicitous Manuscript (Illusion Book)
Fulminating Treatise (Evocation Book)
Heart Weaver’s Primer (Enchantment Book)
Libram of Souls and Flesh (Necromancy Book)
Planecaller’s Codex (Conjuration Book #2, Summoning, Possible Mordenkainen association)
Protective Verses (Abjuration Book)
Alchemical Compendium (Transmutation Book)
Dragon-Touched Focus (Dragon Focus, possibly not a book in which case it doesn’t function as a spellbook)
Arcane Grimoire (Better Spellbook)
Please Comment on which book(s) you think would have the most interesting effect on the personality and/or appearance of the spellbook’s mind and what that effect might be, or on how the personality of the book’s mind comes into being, whether randomly, based on the spellcaster, or based on the nature of the spellbook.
