This potion is a magic item. As a Bonus Action, you can drink it or administer it to another creature within 5 feet of yourself. The creature that drinks the magical red fluid in this vial regains 2d4 + 2 Hit Points.
In the 2024 DMG, Potions of Healing are on page 288 not page 228.
To piggyback on this: The source note at the bottom, "Dungeon Master’s Guide, pg. 228," is incorrect. I think it should say Player's Handbook, pg. 228, at least that's where I see the info for this, whereas 228 in the DMG has different treasure/items entirely. I'm also assuming that it does mean in the 2024 editions since I don't see the "legacy" note that the other potion's entry has, and those are the editions I'm looking at.
Well, there you go. 228 in PHB 2024 and 288 in DMG 2024... Who do we have to @ to get this fixed. Waving my arms emphatically in this comments section doesn't seem to be helping..... Wait, found the Feedback form. Sent the following:
The annotation says that the rules appear on Dungeon Master’s Guide, pg. 228. However, page 228 of the 2024 DMG does not describe Potion of Healing. Potion of Healing is listed on Players Handbook [2024], pg. 228. Alternatively Potions of Healing are listed on Dungeon Master's Guide [2024], pg. 288.
Glad the 2024 phb includes rules for crafting these.
I can't add this version of the item to my character sheet. I don't know why.
Same! The legacy version is there but not the new 2024...strange.
Same
I think it's fixed now.
Since it's a bonus action now I figure the amount is quite small. Enough for one big gulp like as much mouthwash you'd put in your mouth.
how much cost
