Human Species Details
Found throughout the multiverse, humans are as varied as they are numerous, and they endeavor to achieve as much as they can in the years they are given. Their ambition and resourcefulness are commended, respected, and feared on many worlds.
Humans are as diverse in appearance as the people of Earth, and they have many gods. Scholars dispute the origin of humanity, but one of the earliest known human gatherings is said to have occurred in Sigil, the torus-shaped city at the center of the multiverse and the place where the Common language was born. From there, humans could have spread to every part of the multiverse, bringing the City of Doors’ cosmopolitanism with them.

Correct. You start with 2 origin feats. One from species and one from background.
"How come humans can be small, but elves can't!?"
Because Elves aren't real and humans are.
Wow, Humans.
How incredible.
Just... so unique and interesting.
Yeah, they truly are an incredible and strange species. I personally interpret the message of all those old human folk-tales as warnings, not to venture out and cause damage to the environment.
That's not "unfortunate", that's called build freedom. If you are the type that likes static stat scores, you can stick to them but other people like mixing and matching builds without having to compromise being effective in combat.
The reason humans can be small is because dwarfism is an actual condition humans can have. Aasimar and Tieflings can be small because they are plane touched beings, any species can produce aasimar or tieflings if they have celestial or infernal influence in the blood or were specifically made into either one. You can easily argue that other species don't have equivalent conditions like dwarfism and gigantism because despite looking similar, their biology is different from humans. They can live for centuries, and are capable of things humans can't.
What the HECK happened to a HUMAN VARIANT??? You're supposed to be able to obtain a FEAT along with +1 to two Ability Scores! The Initiate of High Sorcery is a BONUS feat!!!!
For that matter, what the heck happened to HALF-ELVES?! How does Wizards of the Coast explain one of their most famous NPC's, Tanis Half Elven?! Half Elves have been part of D&D since the very, very beginning!!! I should know, I got the original boxed set for my Tenth Birthday present in 1975!!!
I dont know how to change speices
As long as it is an origin feat yes!
I'm stealing this idea
These are for the 2024 rule book Humans and stat increases in character creation are associated with your background now. Which also give you proficiencies and an origin feat(humans getting a second one of their choice)
Exactly. I know at first, a novice like myself thinks: "Oh, what?! Why play a different race if you sacrifice a free feat?!" But then I made a Shadar'Kai Sorcerer... and now I can "misty-step-fireball" like in Baldur's Gate 3 xD. SO, there are benefits to other races that can make them just as appealing as Human, if not more... (flying Tiefling?? :D), just got to be adventurous.
Do they have Darkvision or not?
Do you lose your unspend Heroic Inspiration or do you just guve it away after a long rest?
Well what's the tallest human ever? ...that height@@!
I’m happy to be human
I gain heroic inspiration every morning
Finally a good night's sleep
I'm a tiefling, but I often play as a human. Could a human character have, like, purple eyes or whatever?
Thing to remember about Heroic Inspiration:
If you're a Human and taking Long Rests where you're not spending your Heroic Inspiration (because you are travelling long distance or have downtime), you're still getting it every morning; hand it out to your other party members. Not as plentiful a font as the Musician feat, but every little bit helps.
