A creature you touch regains a number of Hit Points equal to 2d8 plus your spellcasting ability modifier.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The healing increases by 2d8 for each spell slot level above 1.
I don't suppose anyone can come through all the updated spells and add the Artificer on all these spells they should have access to?
Are they intentionally not granting 2014 paladins access to upgraded spells? Doesn't seem to be included in the spell tags here and they aren't available in character sheets.
cheese burger
A whole extra die? Nice
when did this happen? idk, seems a bit much for a level 1 healing spell, its always been 1d, since like the 70s
힐량이 증가해서 이제야 3레벨 이상에서 좀 써볼만하게 되었음
Increased healing, finally making it worth using at level 3 and above
This change was made in the 2024 Player's Handbook.
What?
Cure Wounds upcast at level 5 while Beacon of Hope is active will now heal for 80+Ability Modifier!!!
Change School and exception has been removed ('This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.')
Both of these changes have been made to basically all healing spells in the 2024 rules.
I agree that this is an improvement over the 2014 version, healing more and being Abjuration instead of evocation.
Looks like they added Artificer, probably when they put together UA for the new Artificer. Thanks, guys!
Huh. It was always Conjuration in my mind! LOL. Still stuck in 3rd edition mind set.
Interesting that it scales better than damage dealing spells now. I wonder if that's because unlike damage spells there aren't several spells of any given level to choose from. That is, with damage spells you shouldn't be upcasting very often, like casting Ice Knife at 3rd level. But with healing spells you can't often just cast a higher level spell.
Domo arigató gozeimas~
Good buff, cure wounds was way worse than healing word because it wasn't easy to use in combat and only healed an extra 2 damage on average. This gives you a reason to actually carry it instead of using healing word.
So can you heal constructs and undead now?
Yes. That restriction has been removed in the 2024 versions of all healing spells that had it in 2014.
