These people have definite skill in the ring, but it isn't boxing, where you just use your fists... this, is, BRAWLING. Brawling is a mostly illegal sport, legal only in some places, where the person comes with nothing (or little things allowed), and uses anything he can get his hands on (even on-watchers in some variants of brawling) to defeat the opponent. Brawling may be a sport, but you may be from a place where it was a form of punishment, of which people even died in the brawling ring. You must be very observant of your surroundings if you don't want to get hit by things thrown in the ring, and you must quickly make the decision on whether you want this as a weapon, something to be thrown, or something to be ignored, before your opponent(s) make that decision for themselves. You must be quick on your feet, but very strong. Brawling is often illegal, for obvious reasons, and most people won't even consider it even if it wasn't. But this sport wasn't made by humans and elves, this was a sport of orcs, dragonborns, and even some dwarves with something to prove. Anyone who went to the brawling stadium and won should be watched out for, and never underestimated.

Skill Proficiencies: As a brawler, you are naturally good at discerning things that can be used as weapons, you are proficient with perception, and 1 other skill from this list: athletics, acrobatics, sleight of hand, insight, intimidation.
Tool Proficiencies: Because brawling sometimes requires you to perform certain acts to disguise yourself, or get away from the law, you can have up to 3 tool proficiencies from any set. if you learn any artisan tool, that counts as 2 proficiencies learned. every tool proficiency you learn takes from the amount of languages you know.
Languages: because brawling requires travel, and escaping the law in most cases, you can up to three different languages, 1 of which can be theives' cant (which counts as 2).  every language you learn takes from the amount of tool proficiencies you have.
Equipment: equipment really depends... if your doing it for fun, and they do allow certain items, you can have a quarterstaff, a mace, or a hammer(not a war hammer). if it is a form of punishment or they don't allow certain items, your fists will have to make do.

Feature: Improvised weapons

As a brawler, you usually need an improvised weapon to win, so you gain proficiency with all improvised weapons. You can also easily tell how effective an improvised weapon is, and dependent on the type of brawling you do, you can easily see anything that can be an improvised weapon.
