The blacksmith is vital to a community's success. Not only does he forge his own tools, he is responsible for making everyone else's tools, too. From the farmers plow to the leather workers awl, the blacksmith is the only manufacturer of iron tools. You worked your way up from a simple blacksmith, creating very simple items, to a master blacksmith, capable of creating extremely fine works of arms and armor. The bulk of your days as a blacksmith however, were filled with the usual orders of horseshoes, nails, hinges and eating utensils.

 
Skill Proficiencies: Athletics, Perception or Investigation
Tool Proficiencies: Smith's Tools, and 1 other artisan's tools of your choice. If you already have Smith's Tools proficiency, then take a different artisan's tools.
Equipment: Smith's tools, a smith's stamp with your carftsman's mark, six thin iron rods, 50ft of rope, a hammer, 20 nails, a simple weapon of your choice, a simple weapon or a sheild, an Explorer's kit, and a belt pouch containing 15 gold pieces. 
 
Feature: Travelling Smithy

During your adventures, you can harvest creatures and objects such as rock, wood, etc. During a long rest, you can attempt to make arms, armor, or another thing using the materials you have gathered. The quality of the work will largely be up to the DM and how you describe making it, and you may need access to other objects such as a forge for actions such as smelting, a knife for whittling a hilt, etc. But crude items like tying a sharp object to the end of a stick should be relatively easy.

 
Suggested Characteristics

Blacksmiths are hardworking and passionate people. Most hole up in villages, making and repairing items for the local townsfolk. Some smiths adopt a hermit lifestyle however and choose to live in seclusion, only venturing out rarely to barter their makes.
