An assassin is the definition of efficiency. They are contract killers that are hired when someone wants someone else dead. They will always get the job done as reputation means everything to them. They are payed hefty sums for each kill and are usually contracted by the wealthy or by leaders to take out someone without knowing who hired them. Every piece of information given up when they are captured is another punch to their reputation. So in most to all cases, interrogating them is a waste of time.
- Skill Proficiencies: Stealth is how they get the job done. They have a +1 to stealth.
Slight of Hand makes the kills. They have a +2 to Slight of Hand.
- Languages: They can speak common and one other language of their choice.
If combat has not started and they have not been noticed, they can role a DC 15 assassinate attempt (Slight of Hand). If they succeed on the role, the NPC that they are making the attempt on will be killed no matter how much health they have. If there is anyone around, they will hear some noise going on and will be alerted to your presence. You will then have one turn to decide what to do. On a critical success no noise will be made and it will be a perfect kill. Nobody will be alerted to the noise of the assassination. If they fail the role, the NPC will take the damage equivalent to half their health and then you will be sent into combat. On a critical fail, the NPC will be able to evade the attempt completely and you will be instantly sent into combat.
