
You were once a champion jockey, wealthy and praised by the masses. However by some tragedy you were paralyzed from the waist down, leaving your legs entirely useless. This could have occurred from sabotage, an accident when horse riding, or even in battle. You were thus excommunicated, deemed a worthless jockey and are typically publicly shunned and made fun of. You wander through the lands, drifting from town to town for a place to call home.
- Skill Proficiencies: You have proficiency in Animal Handling and Athletics, but disadvantage in all Acrobatics, Stealth, and Slight Of Hand checks.
- Tool Proficiencies: You gain proficiency with Cartographer's Tools.
- Languages: You can speak one additional language that would be spoken by those commonly betting on horse races and horseback combat.
- Equipment: You are proficient with martial weapons, as well as medium armor.
You get your choice of a Riding Horse, Warhorse, or Draft Horse as a mount. This mount's max HP is doubled and it rolls death saves if it would die. The mount requires food, water, a place to sleep, rest, etc. If your mount dies, you can tame a new one that you come across by rolling an Animal Handling check (DC 15) every day for 10 days. If you fail 3 saves over those 10 days the horse will run away and you will not be able to tame that horse again. A replacement mount will not benefit from the doubled HP, but will still retain the ability to roll death saves. Your mount can understand what you say and will do as you command, but it cannot communicate. If your Mount's Intelligence is 9 or lower it becomes 10 instead.
While mounted you and your mount gain +5 AC. Whenever you take damage you must pass an Athletics check (DC 15) or be knocked off of the horse.
While not riding your mount your listed movement speed is always halved and attackers have advantage on attacks against you. You also cannot take the Dash action while dismounted.
