Being who you are, you could never be a hero. Not because of your class, your people, your family or your sins, but because of something else.

You are the host for a secondary soul, an extraordinarily powerful entity. Their presence can be felt as a constant itching, a voice in your head or lingering anxiety.

Skill Proficiencies: Deception and Intimidation
Languages: One of your choice.

Feature: Host

You are the host for secondary soul, an extraordinarily powerful entity. Roll a d6 to consult the table below for the type of creature whose soul your body holds.

d6

Soul

1

Fiend (Choose between Devil or Demon)

2

Fey

3

Celestial

4

Elemental

5

An ancestor of yours

6

Your inner darkness

The soul you serve as a vessel for can sometimes take over your body and mind. Usually, this happens during periods of high stress or fatal damage. For the sake of measuring high stress moments, consult your results on the suggested characteristics table. You have ten Great Stress points. For each scenario where you face high stress, add a Great Stress point. Whenever you reach the 10th Great Stress point, the soul takes over for [roll]1d10[/roll] hours. Your alignment and hit points change to reflect the creature and you behave as they would. When the duration expires, you regain control of your body, and all Great Stress points revert to 0.

Whenever you drop to 0 hit points in combat, you play as the being inhabiting your body for [roll]1d4-1[/roll] rounds with a CR of 3/4 of your level. Your alignment and hit points change to match the creature until you revert to normal. When you revert, any remaining health points are divided by 2 then converted into healing.

This feature cannot be used until the next week.

If you roll or choose 5 or 6, you can play as a different character of your choice, provided you level them appropriately or you can behave as if you were of the Chaotic Evil alignment.

While the creature is using your body, information about you is unable to be learned if they have never seen you before, those who know you well roll their ability checks to see, hear or find you are made with disadvantage. The same applies to the creature when you are in control. Both you and the creature can gleam memoires and information from the other.

Suggested Characteristics

Suggested Characteristics

A vessel character usually lives day to day life like they aren't burdened by the extra soul in their body. Sometimes, they may unknowingly take on characteristics of the beign within. To define your personality, feel free to choose or roll on the table. For the creature who inhabits you, consider a distinct set of characteristics or consult their lore.
