Academic Outcast Image

You see the bigger picture and realize that research and advancement in and academic field shouldn't be hindered by simple moral quandaries. Due to this enlightened view, your peers have decided to cast you out and stripped you of your resources and funding. But that won't stop you. Your research is too important to just give up on, so you continue on in whatever way you can, slowly expanding your knowledge and cursing your former colleges. One day you seek to show them how noble your work is, and when you do they will beg forgiveness for ever doubting you.

4 Your experiments led to death of one too many assistants.

Feature: Underground Reagents

Some research and experimentation calls for items that aren't found on your average person's shelf. In most major cities you have a contact who can procure esoteric reagents. These reagents can be hard to come by for a normal person, so the price may be steeper than normal. Examples include demon's blood, basalisk hearts, and vampire dust.
