TheRPGvault.com is run through Spring (formerly Teespring), but the domain name is owned by us. I do the design work using various programs like Character Creator from Reallusion, Photoshop from Adobe and sometimes Boris Optics from the Boris FX Suite. I still consider myself as learning and growing in skill in these programs.
I am an avid D&D player and the design work and the store have become my hobby right along with D&D (and other RPG's). I believe as of this posting, we have 11 designs in the store and there are MANY more planned. The main apparel is obviously t-shirts, but there are long sleeve shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts, tank tops, socks, leggings, towels, accessory bags, phone cases, drinkware, etc. If there is ever a design you would like to purchase, but it's not on a particular item type, feel free to post in this thread to let me know and I will add that item in the store.
We just released a new design in the store yesterday. It's for the Fighter class and it's part of our class design selection we are doing.
So far we have a design in the series for Cleric, Ranger, Paladin and Fighter. Each design will have a 'fun' saying that goes with it. Each of the class designs will have an accessory bag that can be purchased separately that matches the shirt design and can be used to carry dice, minis, pencils/pens, or other small items. Enjoy!
I don't know if you're interested in constructive feedback or not, but you might consider more subtle designs that work well in non-D&D environments. (Tossed the bulk of the feedback into the spoiler below. If you'd like to follow up with any of this, feel free to send me a private message and I'll help where I can.)
The big splash graphics, like the "Our DM is a Diva Master" model are loud and very specific. It's something that I might expect to see worn at a convention as a novelty, but not in public. (Even as a seasoned player, I don't understand the "Diva Master" reference other than the obvious alliteration.)
On the other hand, I like the "Cleric" model. The graphic is aesthetically pleasing on its own, and it can be easily explained, if someone asks questions. The Paladin, Ranger, and Fighter phrases tickle my "cringe" sensor (Though there are plenty of successful brands that punch that sensor with both fists). My personal style is particularly minimalist, so others may feel differently, but I'd like to see these graphics used as smaller asymmetrical sleeve designs, rather than front designs (Maybe with the word "Cleric" in the left chest space, like a name badge). That would let someone treat it with the casualness of a tattoo, rather than demanding attention.
The "Conserve Water, Drink Beer" phrase is cute, and good for a pint glass, but the dwarf holding another pint glass narrows down its audience considerably. Since the character is generic and not of a recognizable artistic style, it doesn't really add value to the product. An axe, hammer, or fake pub sign, with a clever name, would communicate the spirit of the item more effectively, and could pass as an actual pub glass.
One of the more successful trends is to take a layered approach by exploiting popular fashion trends and then modify them, so that a casual observer might miss the D&D reference, but an insider would easily spot it. (A common example being the D&D Letterman Jacket, or the D&D Hawaiian shirt.)
I suppose the underlying message is that the products in your store appear to be idea-driven, rather than consumer-driven, and that tends to cause products to fall into an awkward space that is neither "Buy for myself" nor "Buy as a gift".
The Critical Role store has the benefit of a large network of artists and name recognition, but they are also a good example for styles, color combinations, and design placement.
I am always interested in constructive feedback and appreciate the time you took to write it. You have a lot of good points throughout!
Some of the early designs (Our DM is a Diva Master) are based on the people I've RP'ed with for many years. They have the shirts of course but I thought others may have a DM they play with who has to sit in a particular chair, who loves to do most of the talking, have all the attention etc, and could relate to this as well.
You are correct that many of the designs are idea-driven. I am slowly moving into other designs that will be more general and over the course of time as I get better from concept to final product I hope to have created a broader range of designs. There will eventually be minimalist designs as well as AOP (all over print) designs. Since the store itself is hosted by Spring (formerly Teespring), the type of apparel and the possible placement of designs will be based on what they have available (although there are a lot of options and it is continuing to grow).
The RPG Vault is still a very young store and I am still learning a lot about the programs I use, social media, and having a store in general. It is another hobby and adventure I plan to take forward for a long time to come.
Two side notes....
1. The 'Save water, drink beer' design does have some really neat design work on the beer pint the Dwarf is holding. I did a close-up shot of it on Instagram as you couldn't see it well on the pulled-back shot I made. I have considered remaking the design minus the Dwarf and with the Beer pint a bit bigger. Spring somewhat recently added pint glasses to the accessories list and that of course got me thinking of what would that look like fit onto a pint glass!?
2. I've had the honor of creating a few designs not particularly related to D&D/RPG's since the store has been open. One was for a German Shephard drive for the Humane Society in our area and another was for a children's fund raiser. I am currently creating a design for a Tik Tok 'influencer' who "really likes" some of the designs in the store. I know I made my store with a niche in mind, so it's really fun to be able to step outside the box once in a while to do these types of projects.
Thank you for your feedback, Memnosyne. I hear everything you have said here and I have read through it several times already. You, like all of my other fellow gamers, are why I started this adventure. My hope is to create things people will really like and be proud to wear at their gaming sessions, conventions and even around town.
The newest design has launched in the store. The Sorcerer class design adds to the growing class design list. If you're a Sorcerer fan don't forget the design is also on the accessory pouch as well! Enjoy. The RPG Vault
There are some really nice designs on here, thanks for posting and providing links. I'll have a gander and see if I can get a few of my players some items as gifts!

“Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. You did 2d6+4 damage to my father. Prepare to make a saving throw.”
Thank you kindly, Ulakith! I'm always excited to see people enjoying the designs. As always, let me know if there is a certain type of shirt, hoodie, etc you'd like a design on that's not currently listed.
Hello fellow gamers! We've just released the next class design in the store. The Monk has arrived! There is a dark mode and light mode to this design that fits better with dark and light colors. As with all the class designs, there is an accessory pouch available for the class as well (in both modes as well!).
As a side note, I will be 'tweaking' the Ranger class design a little within the next week or so. If you like the current saying on the design, grab it up while you can!
