So while artificer had always had alchemy jug which can trickle in small money, at level 10 don't they basically have unlimited gold and scrolls with a robe of useful items?
So on the face of it yes, but if you want more loot and infuse a new "copy" of your plan to create a new robe of useful items then your oldest item disappears, so you have to do a circular create infusions chain to get back to having the other items you want also.
Secondly if you sold those gems to someone and then create a new infusion that causes your old (and used up robe of useful items) to disappear then any item created from it disappears also. Well that is my take on it, and so that gem merchant now knows that they were conned and will come after you. I would discuss that aspect with your DM. Your specific abuse case is not addressed in RAW but enough clues are there to warrant caution.
Let me ask if I desummon an alchemy jug does the acid I sold vanish or the acid I have collected from previous days? Similarly I guess I mean my spell tattoo familiar sticks around as would water from the everflowing water skin.vif I desummon a wand a scorching ray does the fire damage become undone?.
I frankly think it shouldn't be on the list in the first place however it does bear mentioning since the answer matters because at level 14 they can make bag of beans which has other concerns.
At level 10, just ask the Wizard who knows Alchemy tools to use Fabricate to produce Acid vials out of Sulfur, or Salt and Water, or citrus fruits, or Fertilizer (also makes Gun powder), formic acid from ants or termites, Acetic acid from alcohol, and you can get Aspirin from Willow trees.
Just don't try to Fabricate a human.... it doesn't end well.

Yes and maybe and maybe no ...

You can only make it once a day, and your DM can fill the random patches with rowboats and ladders.
I agree the loot you get from it doesn't disappear.
It's a pretty powerful item but the DM doesn't have to let you abuse it.
