I quickly created a hideous map when my campaign started. After a few sessions I figured I'd spend some time looking up brushes and techniques and recreated the map with more details. Really pleased with the results and would love to share it with you!
Most of my campaign takes place in this land of Titania, although there are some trips to other planes as well. The main quest sends the players all across the land and they'll be free to pick and choose the order in which they want to pursue quest goals, and thus decide for themselves where to go. I want to make it feel like an open world where they can go wherever they want! Hence this map, which I'll give to them to allow them to plan their adventure and destinations.
The land is made up out of several provinces: The Vale is an oriential themed jungle area; the Isles of Sky are great pillars of rock connected by rickety bridges (and home of the Sky Pirates); Canbarrow is a victorian themed area of pinewood, gothic structures and rain; Starkchapel is a desert area with villages full of gnome tinkerers; the Midlands are a temperate, more traditional European climate and scenery (but dangerous due to ravaging orc warbands) and Illustra is the seat of the capital and empress, a technologically advanced metropolis that is closely guarded (endgame material).
