You could go for Battlemaster Fighter and reflavor the Battlemaster maneuvers as basically instinctual hunting tactics learned from wolves.
Of the two you suggested I'd probably recommend Ranger over Druid. Druid is much more of a spellcaster class that clashes with barbarian, but with Ranger you get more battlefield options and you also can focus your spellcasting more easily on out-of-combat utility.
We have a barbarian rogue multi-class in our game, and she pretty much wrecks things.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
Paladin is a solid choice because a Paladin's Divine Smite and Lay on Hands aren't spells, so a Barbarian Paladin can still use those skills while raging, and the smites give you something to use Spell Slots on in those moments. I think the biggest problem is I don't know what Paladin subclass actually works best for your character concept... Maybe Oath of Ancients, since it has a bit more focus on nature?

Do you have any details on their subclass for the rogue? Just curious as that sounds like a cool option
She went swashbuckler for the movement and to get 1v1 sneak attack damage without having to use reckless attack....which is still there if she wants it. I'm not sure what other choices she made, she's a halfling, and somehow has managed to get more movement than the rest of us. She's...stormherald maybe on the barbarian side? She's got something that allows her to give the frontliners THP regularly. I think she picked up the DW feat and DW rapiers.
She's been extremely effective; she's got a high AC dishes out significant damage and with rage is hard to kill.

Sounds like Storm Herald... if she took Tundra she can basically use a Bonus Action every round to give herself and any allies near her temp HP round after round. Only like... 2-6 HP depending on her level, but Temp HP is Temp HP, no matter how little.
That sounds right. My memory tells me that it's 3 thp, but I am a bardlock standing in the back so I rarely pick them up. I can say as the party's primary healer (bard/celestial warlock...I didn't plan on doing the primary heals, that's just how it worked out) that she's easier to keep on her feet than the 2h paladin. When the paladin takes hits, he gets chunked pretty good. When the barbarogue gets hit, she shrugs it off. Of course, she doesn't drop the DMs jaw with her damage numbers like the paladin does when he starts smiting left right and center, but she's solid and consistent.
Aside from being our best meat shield, she's also our scout and traps person (I don't send out my owl as much as I could), and when she /is/ scouting ahead, we're not worried that she's going to get squished before we can intervene.

You could think about a cleric maybe tempest or war and to you healing and some damage or a paladin and get those smiles. Beast ranger get a wolf
