I fully realize that the Barbarian's Path of the Storm Herald was released in the original edition of Xanathar's Guide to Everything, but I think that it as a subclass needs a serious buff and/or rework. I really enjoy the idea of playing a Barbarian that is infused with the element of the harsh environment that they grew up in (or at least trained in for an extended period of time). It would be awesome if the Path of the Storm Herald was buffed to the levels of the Zelot or Giant. It deserves a similar treatment to the PHB 2024's Warrior of the Elements, Monk subclass.
Yeah, it's pretty weak. For starters, I'd change the Desert path's ability so that it dealt twice your proficiency modifier in fire damage to targets of your choice that you could see inside the radius.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
If nothing else, letting you swap your aura more frequently would be a major boon to this subclass. Right now you can only swap at a level up, and it generally rewards you more for sticking with just one and making it your character's signature... I actually played a long game as a Storm Herald Barbarian, and I just stayed with Sea aura the whole time because the bonus action lightning bolt is fun and interesting. However, I never once changed auras... I had long periods of time where I was in a desert or a snow-swept tundra, but it's not like I leveled up right on the way in and then leveled up again on the way out. If I could just swap on a short rest or something I could have actually taken advantage of the full class.
