I am working on a plan to establish my bard in the histories of mankind (and elvenkind and ...). My Bard is planning to use his wealth to build a theatre and bardic college complete with gardens and a park adjacent to the diplomatic district where the diplomats all have permanent residences. One part of the idea is that the theatre will also serve as a front for his spy network and being located next to the diplomat's residences he will have an abundance of opportunities to spy on his enemies and receive information from his friends. Of course, many of the diplomats will suspect he "might" be up to something, but that's all part of the fun, isn't it. The Game is Afoot!
While developing this idea I thought the theatre will also be a prestigious Inn, Tavern and Restaurant. It will be the sort of place the affluent folks and the up-and-comers will want to be seen. Then I thought the patrons would include the most wealthy, influential and powerful figures for miles around and they would wish to be brought to the theatre in a carriage. I should have a stable and carriage house built nearby for the most well-healed customers. In addition, I thought if they stay in the Inn for more than a night they might need services beyond the basic needs of daily laundry (which will be handled quickly and conveniently as a few student bards visit the guests and cast Prestidigitation on their clothes to make them fresh as new) and meals (easily accommodated by the restaurant), so a tailor's shop, dress maker and seamstress would be constructed and staffed by very capable craftsmen.
Taking this another step, I thought all manner of fine things should be made available, so a jeweler, a gem cutter, a silversmith, a fine leatherworker, a glass blower, a furrier, a cobbler, a barber and a hairdresser and other specialists would be located in a high end shopping district. Further, a carpenter, a cooper, a wheelwright, a cartwright, a tack and harness shop, an alchemist, a book binder and all sorts of services would be found and encouraged to move in nearby. A second Inn and Tavern would be built to house the attendants of the rich guests and suitable opportunities for temporary employment would be made available through the local guild masters.
In short, I want to make the area a veritable Disneyland for affluent customers, something like the affluent folks of the east coast flying to NYC for a shopping visit on 5th Avenue one each year.
But this will be a place for the diplomats and political figures to have dinner together on 'neutral ground' not in an embassy or in the palace. The best cooks and chefs will be employed with the help of all manner of magic to prepare food to perfection. The host will use his influence to have the finest wines, meades, ciders and ales available and the rarest spices to compliment any dish. The candelabras, sconces and chandeliers will be plentiful because the candles may be lit by magic and not require a great deal of fuss. Every convenience will be afforded these guests.
The main building, the theatre, inn and tavern will be a larger version of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and will include the stage and viewing balconies after the same manner. The building will be organized into sections including two taverns on the ground floor, two restaurants on the second floor, single guest rooms on the third floor, guest suites on the next floor and guest apartments on the top floor including the host's penthouse. In the rear there will be the stage, storage for the theatre, rooms for the actors, rooms for the bards enrolled in the college, classrooms and a library and suites for the faculty and composers. Outside, there will be gardens around the Globe and a large park will extend out from the Globe with the nearest portion landscaped to accommodate outdoor performances and seating.
Once complete, with sketches and the lore all "built out" I hope my DM will include stories of the Grand Globe Theatre, Inn and Tavern in his world lore.
I am sketching everything out by hand right now as I figure things out.
If I get the details fleshed out, I will use a CADD program to draw the plan view and an elevation view, but I don't expect to build a 3d model that anyone could use for a VTT or anything. But because you brought it up, that may be my ultimate goal, to draw the rooms enough to allow others to play in a VTT using my Globe Theatre. That would be the bomb.

Also the clean function of Prestidigitation only lasts an hour before it reverts back to its original state.
I've never interpreted it that way, if you look at the description on Prestidigitation, every effect has its own form of duration.
Harmless sensory effect, light/snuff candle and clean/soil are all described as instantaneous.
Chill/warm and colour/mark (moustaches on every painting I see in my case) are specifically an hour.
Minor illusion in your palm is one turn (6 seconds).
I don't think there's any reason to believe that a snuffed candle will re-light (or a lit one go out) after an hour except by normal means (burning out), likewise with cleaning/soiling.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

What are you planning on using to draw and digitize the floor plan? This sounds fairly complex.
