I see that I can edit Attacks on the character sheet, however I'd like to create a Custom Attack for Sharpshooter.
In the past when creating a custom action you could specify it was an Attack, and as such would give fields to override/set the To Hit bonus as shown in this post:
This information is apparently out of date (likely before the character sheet revamp). Now when creating a custom action and selecting Weapon you are presented with these options--none of which support changing the To Hit bonus on the attack.
This makes us unable to create a custom attack using a magic weapon (such as a +X longbow). The only alternative is to create a homebrew magic item that contains the bonuses and changes that are needed--which may or may not be an option depending on the campaign.
Is this intended, or is it an oversight of some kind? Am I even trying to do this the proper way? I don't see anything specifically about creating a Custom Attack like it was before, so if there's another place I should be doing this, I've not found it. Thanks.
The article has certainly aged, and is not current for the revised character sheet.
Where you can modify the "To Hit" of your attack is when customizing a weapon. For my Sharpshooter I added a second version of their same bow, set the weight to override at 0, and then adjusted from there. You can see this here:
This won't work for me, something has broken or perhaps allowing me to customize my weapons is a DM allowed feature I'm not currently set to be allowed to do? I don't know, but it certainly won't work for me.
There's no feature a DM can enable/disable that I can see in any of my campaigns.
If you click on one of your weapons you should see Customize at the top of the description that pops out. Click on that and it should give you the customization options.
Also, note that you have to be in the non-public view for your character. If you're not seeing Customize then look at the address bar in your browser. If it's just dndbeyond/characters/12345678 for example, that's a non-editable view-only version of the character sheet. You'd need to be logged into your profile, in which case the URL would be dndbeyond/profile/yourprofile/characters/12345678.

The thing about which version of it I am logged into may be it, thanks. I'll check.
[Edit] Nope, still won't seem to work. I'm doing everything but as soon as I'm done and look on my actions list, it's reverted to normal.
[Re-edit] Ok, apparently it's just super flaky. I got it to work, but you cannot use the little arrows to set the numbers.. you MUST click in the little boxes and type in the -5 and the 10 in the appropriate boxes for them to set and stay.
I'm trying to add my Warhorse's Hooves attack. Can't be done, it seems, as "To Hit" cannot be entered for a Custom Action.
The Custom Actions aren't really set up for creatures other than your character. What I do is add my mount to the Extras tab, then refer to its stat block there for its attacks.

THANK YOU! Just spent the last hour trying to figure this out just to find out it was the stupid arrows not working!
Is there a way to report this as a bug to D&D beyond team?

Tried adding a custom General, spell and weapon and none of them allow a custom modifier for minus to hit. All I can get is the figured bonuses. I can't see any of the entry spaces like the first response from the DM indicated.
If it was done properly you should be able to just have a box that says "Sharpshooter" and makes a second attack entry with those stat changes. As much as it is a handy tool, the character sheet is really frustrating to use in this regard.

For Sharpshooter, you can add and equip a second ranged weapon of the same type, then customize it to have Weight Override 0 (if you worry about encumbrance), To Hit Bonus -5 (type it into the box instead of using the up/down arrows), Damage Bonus 10 (type into box), and then change the name to be like "Longbow (sharpshooter)".
Not as nice as it could be, but it'll do the job.

That worked. I wish there was a more integrated feats/actions interaction. Sorry for the thread necro.
