I run a campaign that has a set of items that scale in power as it progresses. The first three items I added worked brilliantly. But now that I try to add more features to the old item, they do not show up on the fighter that will use it. The item works okay on all other characters in the campaign.
Only one out of four / five spells show up on this character. The item in question is Clay, Empowered (Clay, Empowered - Magic Items - Homebrew - D&D Beyond (dndbeyond.com)). Which stops working as soon as I add the Forcecage spell to it. Then the others don't show up anymore. But only on this character. So it has to be the interaction there?
Try having the player remove the "Clay, Augmented" item from the sheet and then refreshing. There is a relatively recent issue affecting identical spells granted from multiple items on the sheet at once.
Thank you! That was it. Simple yet, effective solution. He hasn't gotten the item yet, so this was me testing the things out before the session on Sunday. I just figured I'd done something wrong in the creation of it.
