If you clone a monster to create a homebrew stat block, does it clone that monster exactly? I ask because when I clone a dragon, the Perception skill does not match up. As an example, an adult red dragon has a Perception skill of 13 as per the stat block even though the WIS modifier is only +1 and the proficiency bonus for a monster at that CR is only +6. A cloned red dragon will show the correct base Perception bonus of +7 with no additional bonus under the Skills section. If you save this homebrew monster without making any changes whatsoever, the resulting stat block has the correct (as per the bonuses listed) Perception skill of 7 which is most definitely not 13.
This is easily rectifiable by adding a +6 additional bonus in the Skills section, but I'm really just curious how come this isn't part of the cloned block when the cloned block is supposed to produce a monster that is exactly the same, stats-wise, as the original?
I think it's just a bug. I tried the same with a different dragon and there was an added modifier there to make up the difference (pretty much what I did manually on my own).

Dragons have expertise in perception. They have very good senses.
Not sure why the double proficiency doesnt get copied though. The homebrew tools have always been kind of unstable in areas.
