I feel like there should be exceptions in cases where you play a class relying on it. I mean it is not like I can just choose something else, I am forced to take that spell and its just simply not available although I have the class. I totally understand that I cannot pick it as a warlock for example, even when I bought the OoC, simply because I did not obtain it as as spell itself.
Maybe it is just me, but I don't quiet understand. What exactly did I purchase with the subclass Oath of Conquest if I do not get access to the core features - we are not talking some bonus options, its the classes definition and the spell cannot be replaced with something else.
I am pretty new in the whole D&D universe and I also really love what you guys are doing with DnD Beyond. Thank you for your time, effort and patience!
Happy to clarify, but I must say I am of the devs team so all I can offer is my best understanding.
With your purchase of the Oath of Redemption, you purchased the subclass features and it does not unlock anything else. Class features and spells are discrete options on your account. You have it or you do not. That is why it is not possible to have the spell for one class or not for the other. When you unlock an object that is not free, you need to pay its cost as you would do for any other source.
I do see the technical problem behind it. In my account it just says "Spell X: no" and therefore I just don't get to use it in any circumstance.
You said "Oath of Redemption" and I think you mistyped, but just to make sure: I talk about the Oath of Conquest, for which Armor of Agathys is not optional but in the classe description as a guranteed (always prepared) spell.
That said I still feel like at least I should get told in the marketplace that the item I am buying is simply not playable until I purchase "List of other items needed for this item to work". It is like I buy a car, which in the end lacks the break pedal and the car salesman tells me to go buy one if I want to actually drive it.
At this point I think everything is said. And since your hands are tied by the virtual infrastructure of this website anyways, there is nothing you could do, even if you wanted to :D
So thank you for the dialogue and the clarification on the monetisation model. Keep up the good work, we all really appreciate it :)

I'm trying to build a Paladin (OoV) / Warlock (Celestial), but the Armor of Agathys spell is not listed under Warlock spells?
It is : https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/armor-of-agathys
but the spell needs a purchase from the Marketplace to be unlocked.
That makes sense. Thanks!
I have a the same problem. But I am using Oath of Conquest (bought only the sub class).
Since my class now has the Armor of Agathys as a core spell, isn't it part of the subclass feature that I bought?
Is this a bug or do I really have to buy it separately?
I fear you need to buy them separately.
Thank you for the quick answer.
