So this doesn't seem to be answered in any of the FAQs or marketing info about Sigil.
Does it play well asynchronously? I play a lot in online play-by-post games -- our current VTT does the job very well, allowing both the DM and the players to be able to log in a view the current map any any point in time -- this allows players to do things like measure distance, check line of sight, etc.. when they're ready to post (as opposed to synchronous play, where the DM might be required to host a screen that players can see live and real-time).
Does Sigil support this type of play, or is it geared only towards the "all players are online at the same time" style of play?
I was very disappointed when I tried Maps and discovered that it shuts down after an hour or so of inactivity, rendering it unusable for asynchronous play. (I haven't tried it again recently, but I doubt anything has changed.) I have worried this might be the case with Sigil, also. I hope not.

Following. I worry about this also.
