The Feather token (Feather Fall) says it requires a bonus action to cast feather fall. Feather fall has a 1 reaction casting time. (For a good reason... by the time you get to cast it as a bonus action, chances are you'll have fallen at least 500 feet according to XGTE fall rule).
it is possible that the author of the book made a mistake with that item, but it appears deliberate and the stats on D&D Beyond are the same as the published PDF.
The spell Feather Fall lasts for a full minute, so it can easily be a deliberate choice to use though as the spell specifies the recipients of the spell must be falling when the spell is cast, the timing is indeed tricky - it means that moving to a state of "falling" should be a deliberate act on your own turn, such as jumping out of an airship.
The text of the item states they're safety devices for when travelling via airship, so that makes sense - like a parachute, jump out, then activate.

Hi there Benz74M,
it is possible that the author of the book made a mistake with that item, but it appears deliberate and the stats on D&D Beyond are the same as the published PDF.

Tricky indeed, but perhaps as you say it was the intent. Thanks for the reply.
