I am a player in a campaign that isn’t using the official Wizards modules (I’m not certain which module) and I’m trying to add a custom item. The description is this:
Thundering Left + Right
Unarmed Strike does 1d10 damage + 1d8 lighting damage. +1 AC Booming blow; When you land an unarmed strike with this gauntlet, the target must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to your 8 + your Strength modifier + proficiency bonus or they become deafened for 1 minute. The creature can re-make the save at end of it's turn.
Shocking Blow; When you land an unarmed strike with this gauntlet, the target must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC equal to your 8 + your Strength modifier + proficiency bonus or they become incapacitated until the start of your next turn.
I tried creating bracers, but they didn’t get the unarmed strike to show up in my actions on my character. My second attempt was to assign it to a weapon and add the AC bonus, which works the closest to what I need. However, I can’t figure out how to override the base damage for whatever weapon I choose to replace it with 1d10 bludgeoning and 1d8 lightning damage. Any suggestions on how I can create this to have just the 1d10&1d8 damage dice?
