I am part of a Guild like Setting and we use multiple Beyond Campaigns for our characters. Some are missing their entire gold that was carried in Bag of holdings, pouches and other things and also item customisations. The gold they wore on person is still there. Only some characters are affected and others are completely fine withing the same campaign.
My party had the same issue where all their gold in their bags of holding disappeared. It effected the entire party and we confirmed its not a caching issue.
We are having the exact same issue. All of the gold that we had stored in Bags of Holding, and in our "Bank" (renamed Backpack) have disappeared. We have all lost the majority of our cash (anything that wasn't stored in base inventory)
How are you storing gold in bags? Custom items labeled as Gold (x amount) or something?
Nope, it is an option within DnDBeyond. In your inventory, click on the Coins (so it brings up the detail screen where you can add/remove coins). On the top right, click on the Gear/Settings, and there is a switch to turn on/off "Put Coins in Containers". Turning it on now gives you the option to store coins in all containers (like backpacks).
It's a great way to keep track of money that you keep other places (like in a bank, or in your Bag of Holding) rather than in your general inventory. WHEN IT WORKS. But when DnDBeyond bugs out, it screws you over
Yeah, the usual dndbeyond shenanigans. Last update (big one) on 20/1/2026 (1/20/2026 for our friends across the pond) broke links to coins stored in containers and removed custom names from many containers. Raise tickets dear colleagues, let them know we care even if they don't ;-)
The bug in this thread and all item customization being deleted are one in the same. There is a post in the other thread claiming that this was fixed but it definitely was not and it also affects any containers within "Party Inventory", not just individual character sheets.

Same issue here. Gold in the Bag of Holding is gone.

I am also experiencing this. I had gold in two different containers and I now have 0.
