How do you get Conjure Animals? It doesn't appear in the spells list (as many spells don't) for my third-level character, and I can't find it for a one-time purchase. Thanks!
You know how it is, instead of naming the different strength of spells something unique to them like "spell rank", they decided to use the same word that describes how strong your character is but make it so these 2 values are only the same once (or less, level 1 full caster).
5e is so full of poor word choice, vague wording, and undefined terms to the point where you would think this was the first game ever made by this developer, but nope, nearly 50 years of experience.

Some would argue that much of the bad/confusing wording is because it's a decades-old game and WotC is scared that renaming/changing things will annoy/drive away older players :P

The Conjure Animals spell is part of the basic rules, so free for all users.
It is a 3rd level spell though, so isn't available to a 3rd level character.
