I recently noted something, in my opinion, odd and thought to ask about it.
So I create a decent amount of Homebrew objects, some of which I like to share with the community. Now, my players can access the private homebrew stuff without problem and add the spells/items etc. To their characters. This works in campaigns where I (who have a DM subscription) both have sharing turned on and where it isn't turned on.
However, if I share the item with the community, then only the characters in a campaign where I have content sharing turned on can add the items/spells etc. I.e. Characters in campaigns where I DM but have content sharing turned off cannot access my homevrewed items, even if they are in my collection and I have created them.
Now, this seems odd to me, like I get that things I add from the community to my homebrew collection should only be shared in campaigns where content sharing is enabled. But, in my view my players should be able to access the homebrews that I've created, even if the item is public and the chars are in my campaign where cobtent sharing is turned off.
You can get around this, by simply clicking on the "Create a new version" button, but I personally would prefer not to have duplicates of all my public items.
Just thought to mention and ask. If there's some technical reason, I understand but if it was an oversight I would be very happy to see it rectified.
