I built a homebrew magic item (based off of an existing magic item) it requires attunement and has several spells attached to it. When my player attunes to it the spell pane of the character sheet breaks. The only work arounds are to un-attune or to remove all the spells.
I believe the item I based it on also had the same problem, but I can't recall what item it was.
The most common cause of this problem is that the charges for spells are not set up correctly.
In the "Additional Information" section you should have a total of all of the charges that are on the item.
Then on each spell, you should enter the number of charges it costs to cast the spell into the "minimum charges" box. If the spell can be upcast by spending additional charges, you can add the maximum number of charges that can be used to increase the spell's level. For example, if upcasting sleep (a level 1 spell) the maximum number of charges would be 9, as spells go up to 9th level. Often the issue with these homebrew items is that the maximum number of charges exceeds 9th level, which means the spells page is unable to process the information. :)
To throw some math at you (hope it doesnt confuse you, it has others): the spell's max charges - the spell's min charges + the spell's base level <= 9.

Hello pitweval,
The most common cause of this problem is that the charges for spells are not set up correctly.

I hope that helps!
