I have a variant Human character, who should have a walking speed of 30 feet, however, my speed is only 5 ft. I suspect it's because I'm encumbered, according to the character sheet. He's using a bag of holding, so he shouldn't really be encumbered, because most of this weight is in the bag, but that's another issue ;-)
I figured I could just disable encumbrance rules on the character, but when I did that, his speed remained at 5 ft.
For reference, his Strength is 12 and he's carrying 416 lbs, according to the character sheet inventory.
Even playing by the variant Encumbrance rules, his movement should still be 10 ft, though.
It seems that the "No Encumbrance" rule is working as the "Encumbrance" rule. Your inventory weight is above 120 lb. which is your limit. I think it is definitely not intended. I'll report to the staff.
Are there any plans to add a feature to add items to a container, such as to a bag of holding or a wagon? If there is one, I am just not seeing it and it is causing one of my players to show as severely over-encumbered since it shows he is carrying that wagon of his.

This is planned to be included in the character sheet revamp, yes.
For Encumbrance Type: "Use Encumbrance" it looks like if you are wearing Chainmail and other heavy armour that requires certain strength, you do not get the movement penalty of 10ft.
I'm also having a problem with the Bag of Holding not adjusting my carrying weight. There seems to be no way to assign what is carried within the bag nor does it affect my max carrying capacity, so even when "In Use" it doesn't keep me from being encumbered.

How was this resolved? I currently have the same problem.....
I had this issue, I finally realized that I had a 3 in the override on strength during character creation.

Definitely still have an 8 in Strength. He's weak, not that weak.
