I currently have a level 7 Warlock with the Book of Ancient Secrets invocation. Currently, I'm unable to add (a) the two first-level spells I gain from this invocation and (b) any ritual spells I pick up along the way. I'm also not able to add any extra spells from spell scrolls that I spend time learning.
I've created a homebrew item that includes those spells. However, those spells don't show up in my spell list (just a separate list without the 'Cast' button and no Spell DC). The same goes for a magic item that has the Locate Object spell, although this one disappears completely from this list when I add the min-max number of charges.
I've also just learned the Polymorph spell as an invocation. Has there been a discussion about what could be added when players cast it (especially on themselves)? For example, if I cast polymorph on myself at my particular level (currently CR 7), I think it would be cool to have a list appear of possible creatures that players could turn themselves or others into. Additionally, being able to select a creature and then having a side window where people could (a) see their stats, abilities, and spells and (b) have their new stats, abilities, and spells based on the chosen creature would be awesome! I'm not sure if this is the case or not, but doing something similar for the Find Familiar spell would be really cool, too!
Thanks!
