Hello, I’ve made a handful of subclasses for my friends and have (I thought) worked out most of the kinks and ins-and-outs of the system. However, this latest one, no matter what I try, keeps saying
“This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.”
The subclass is for Druid. Does anyone know of a commonly missed class feature I could have overlooked? Or maybe someone has a list of things I need so I can go through a sort of ‘checklist’? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah, I figured out how to finagle it to work. I had an ability at level 17, which I guess you can't do, so I set it to 14 and then just have it say "This is actually at level 17".
Seems silly to me for custom stuff to be limited in such ways. I feel like it defeats a bit of the purpose.

They are just following the official rules for the base class. The base class determines when they get subclass features (you can see it on the class chart).

You should link the subclass so it can be gone through. Also, do you have a feature at all the correct levels for druid?
Lightning Strike - A rebranded Fire Bolt for Wizards & Sorcerers.
Spirit Bomb - A holy fireball for Clerics, Paladins, & Divine Soul Sorcerers!
Sword Dancer - A Cleric subclass specifically for the Drow goddess Eilistraee.
Quicksilver & The Scarlet Witch - A pair of magical firearms for your Gunslinger or Artificer.
Since some Druid subclasses get abilities at level 3, the Homebrew tool just assumes that all Druids should have one.
