I am wanting to create a homebrew magical item and have some portions of the Modifiers be unlocked only if attuned to the PC, and other Modifiers to be active with or without being attuned.
I would also like to see this. It was a bit frustrating to get so far in creating my home-brew item and then realise that I couldn't do what I intended (namely, its a +1 weapon until attuned and then you get some more stuff you can do, which seems to be a common pattern).
hello there!
I am wanting to create a homebrew magical item and have some portions of the Modifiers be unlocked only if attuned to the PC, and other Modifiers to be active with or without being attuned.
I am thinking it is possible as the tutorial page here has it screengrabbed like so:

https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/3625-beta-everything-you-need-to-know-about-homebrew#c3

But alas, when i check my own Modifiers area of the item, that entire column is missing. Here is a link & screengrab:

Am I missing the obvious on this?
Thanks!

Does your item have requires attunement checked?
hey there!
I just double checked and yep, it has this checked in:

I thought maybe it was a Chrome problem, but I checked in Firefox with the same result :/
doh!
That is not a feature available on user accounts.
ohh interesting
I currently have a subscription like so:
D&D Beyond Master Monthly ($5.99) billed every 1 month
Active Until: 9/10/2019
Status: Active
but is the user account you mention something different again?
User as in not a mod or dev.
Homebrew is planned to be revamped in the future, maybe we can do it then.
ohhh, so someone could just make me a mod and I'm away?
juuust kidding (kinda)
I would also like to see this. It was a bit frustrating to get so far in creating my home-brew item and then realise that I couldn't do what I intended (namely, its a +1 weapon until attuned and then you get some more stuff you can do, which seems to be a common pattern).
Sorry for reawakening a bit of an old thread.
