When I attempt a new Quick Build or Randomized character I am only able to choose races from Basic Rules, Elemental Evil and PHB (I'm a legendary bundle holder.. Legendary B Holder?). When I click back and go to Standard Build I see all available races. I then hit back again and choose Quick Build or Randomize and the races will appear.
This happens every time I want to do a Quick Build or Randomize. So my work around has been click Standard Build then click back and then do a Quick or Random build. But the issue is every time you click Standard Build it generates an empty character that I have to go back and delete each time.
I hope that makes sense... let me know if I can provide more info!
Same here. It is like the Quick build/Randomize build only let's you choose from the "default/free" options, and not from anything that you may have purchased later.
Many thanks! I like the site a lot and have made few “extra” purchases to build more characters, and it will mean a lot if two small tweaks are made: that the random/quick builder included all your avaliable options (I see that going fully random does include them, you just can’t select them beforehand, i.e., you cannot ask for “a random warforged”), and that the Quick Build dropped the “quick selection” noted in PHB (right know it does weird things like including Sage as background fro the Warlock, and Soldier for the Rogue). It’s minor and unimportant but helpful to know it’s there nonetheless. Thanks for reading (I’m a non-native english speaker so apologies if I was not specially clear)
Have there been any updates on this issue? I am trying to get a younger generation into the game for the first time and having the quick build option for them with the ability to choose any race would be great exposure.
I'd also like some followup on this issue. I'm attempting to use DDB's Quickbuild to save time in creating a large number of pregenerated character sheets for a paper game, but the inability to use purchased races in Quickbuild means that I can take advantage of this feature for only a third of the sheets.
Just curious if this is on anyone's radar yet ? Would be really great to be able to create random characters with all paid material.
And not just paid, but homebrew as well.

Well, I see it half fixed. The options are now there for both the Quick Build and the Random Build, which was the BIG issue.
The small issue, however, is still pending: the quick build does not select the "recommended" build as per the PHB (rogue does not have criminal background, has Soldier background, and so on). I guess it's on the "to do" list, but it's not a GREAT issue as the other was.

Hi there both,
yes, you are correct - the randomized character does just draw from the free (Basic) Rules.
Quick Build should show all content that you have unlocked though! I'll check with staff.

I would also like this. I want to do a one-shot with randomly generated goblins and I can't do that very easily with the way that things are now.

Just ran into this issue and wondering if there will be any attention given to the problem.

Hello,
Still no news regarding this? The issues in both Quick Build and Random Build are still there...
It's 2020, this issue from 2018 is still an issue.
Bumping topic. Still an issue. :/
And not just paid, but homebrew as well.

How is this still an issue after this long?
