How do I get DND Beyond to add the additional D8 to my spells? Love all changes to my character changes what DND Beyond shows for me for Dice/+'s etc, but I can't see this for having an Arcane firearm.
DnDB Dice are in beta, so you might not be able to do that. Adding bonus from other features doesn't seem to be implemented fully. For example, there isn't a way to automatically add guidance to your ability checks.
For getting the right dice you could click the icon in the lower left, then manually add the dice you need for your roll. Then you'll have to add whatever static modifiers you have.
Cool thanks. It wasn’t necessarily the dice roll feature. But just stating what to roll as I tend to forget abilities because I’m playing a few campaigns with different characters and keeping track of abilities isn’t my forte
Ah, I see. Yeah, there are quite a few situational features that aren't immediately represented on the character sheet. When listing spells, the page doesn't necessarily know if you're using the arcane firearm so it doesn't add the extra damage. What I think would be a cool feature is a sort of sticky note system. That way you could write little character specific reminders (like arcane firearm or a concentration reminder) that are always visible on the side of your screen.
That would be cool. I assumed there’d be an arcane firearm in the equipment list that you could equip and equipping would add the extra dice to all appropriate spells
It's a bit of a pain and might not scale with level (I haven't tried) but you could always make a custom action that mimics your weapon but just adds an additional d8.

Am I missing something?
