It's easiest for now to create a magic item and manually add the modifiers. You can then have a "Rage" tab in your inventory to click that affects the rest of the sheet and your rolls.
Has anyone gotten any word at all that this is something that the DND Beyond devs are planning to work on? Any tweets, press releases, acknowledgement whatsoever?
Hey people in this old thread, the Customize feature on weapons includes a "Notes" field that can include code for a custom rolling set... so, on my Barbarian who has a longsword that also adds Cold damage, the Notes entry reads "/dmg 1d10+2d4+STR+2" That is the d10 for longsword two-handed, 2d4 for cold, my STR mod, and +2 for rage. But I do wish for a condition...

Twiitter @JDSoOR Discord JDSoOR#5431 LFG: A Wildemount setting campaign? I already have characters in Greyhawk and Faerun :) But really, I'm not going to say no to anything fun...
Now we might need to clarify what we are meaning by a 'rage button' option 1: clickable box that helps you to track how many you've used? Yes, we have always had that... option 2: a clickable condition that automatically applies an extra +2 to damage rolls and will keep you aware of being IN rage during the two weeks of real world down time between sessions that ended mid combat? Because when the game tool rolls your to hit and damage and automatically applies a bunch of your things but leaves off that +2 all the time, annoying. and when you can't remember that you were raging cuz its been too long and life is life? I want that button :) And I don't think we do, cuz I am looking at a Barb right now on my other screen and it is nowhere apparent or obvious or even (as far as I can tell) subtle or tucked away.

Checking back in mid-2024. Absolutely crazy to me that this is not implemented in some way. I've used a workaround in creating "Raging" versions of my weapons to calculate damage, but that was more friction than should be necessary for "the" D&D digital companion.
If you check the video I posted, it shows an easier way to use Rage than customising your weapons, and it'll be a toggle so you can turn it on and off.

Adding plus 2 is easy but should be unnecessary. Getting a Barb's defacto feat of GWM and then -5 to hit, +2 damage, +10 damage is easy as well its just annoying when DnD Beyond does so much for so many other classes.

TBH I haven't watched your video because my campaign with the Barb is over, but does your method take into account GWM or similar feat?

No, as the video is specific to Rage, but I do have a different video for GWM.

It’s actually in the “Features and Traits” screen on the app, but really hard to find. It took me a minute to figure out how to turn it on/off.
Activate/Deactivate - On Features and Traits screen, Under Rage, Click on the paragraph that starts with “Activate Rage….” It really doesn’t look clickable but it is. This pulls up a flyout screen that allows you to “Manage Rage”. Click that and select “activate rage”. This will expand the Rage topic with more detail and turn everything on across your character sheet. When you get back to main Actions window everything will be adjusted based on your level, resistances are updated, etc.
When you come out of rage just click that same “Activate Rage” paragraph on the “Features and Traits” screen and it will take you back to that same flyout screen. Then just adjust it back to “Choose a Level 1 Option”. This will remove all rage bonuses across your character sheet.
Warning- when deactivating it if you try clicking on the rage items when it’s active from the “actions” page it will just take you around in a circle. You have to click on it from the “Features and Traits” screen. That drove me crazy the first few times trying to manipulate it.
Silly computer programmers. Why they couldn’t just add a toggle button in the Conditions menu on the main screen is beyond me? What a convoluted way of activating something so basic to a character type.

Is the magic item listed on page one the best bet? I'm quite the newbie to D&D, so adding in working through the D&D beyond architecture is tricky.

This is brilliant, thank you!
I tried a version with a Raging Maul +2. The only issue is that it shows as 2D6+5 (+2) and if I click on the damage to roll it, it doesn't add the +2.
Bump for justice... So many years and we STILL need a "Rage" button... smh...
Hell to the yeah we do :) D&D Beyond does most others things we should at least have a add rage to damage button.
How would you do this for two weapon fighting?

This is a feature now, it seems. Never seen it without it.
…and then I swing him into a hedge.
Huh? It’s here, it has been from before since the time you posted that. Hmh.

(Only with the 2024 Barbarian version)
There is an option to activate the rage :
Click on the rage feature in class feature tab to have the "rage" sidebar appear.
Go to the bottom of the sidebar, there is a section "OPTION" where you can select a level 1 feature named "activate rage"
