The domain spells do NOT count towards your number of currently prepared spells.
You can prepare a total number of spells equal to your Wisdom Modifier + your cleric level. Say you had a Wisdom bonus of +3, this would give you 7 spells prepared at 4th level.
You get 4 1st level spell slots and 3 2nd level spell slots.
You can prepare a number of spells equal to your WIS modifier + you cleric level. Usually you can prepare a number of spells higher than the number of spell slots you have. Once you cast a spell you "consume" a spell slot of that spell level.
The domain gives you "additional" spells you can prepare per day, but not more spell slots.
I made a cleric of the tempest domain, and I was wondering something. The tempest domain give you certain spell at specific levels like fog cloud at level one, but I know clerics have spells other than the domain specific ones. My question is do I still get to have those or am I stuck with just the ones they give me?
Spells granted by your domain are -in addition- to those you would normally know from your cleric spell list. They do not count against your allotment of prepared spells.
You would still get your normal cleric spells. And i do believe if a spell would be on both your domain and cleric list, its just considered prepared and you can prepare -other- cleric spells.
EG: Life Domain gives you bless and cure wounds at 1st level. IF you had the life domain you wouldn't have to prepare either of those spells because they are on your domain list.
I am building a 4th level war cleric. Do the domain spells count towards the # of cleric spells I can choose at 1st and 2nd level?
Do i still select 4 first level and three second level? Or with the domain spells do I only select 2 first and 1 second level spell?
Thanks

Thanks, that's what I figured
